Weekend Bakes: I’ve Been Having a Mini Moment!

(Dress by The House of Foxy)

What a week! Yesterday, I was in my kitchen all day with my rather fabulous director, Emily, making our first video. There was probably far too much giggling to be proper serious grown-ups and we took a break to watch an episode of The Mighty Boosh.

I think this is going to be the start of a beautiful friendship!

Today, I pack for Foodies Festival Christmas in Edinburgh and I am so excited to get my gloves out and feel a little wintery. I could never deal with hot weather and think the chill will bring out my Christmas spirit…

Sorry, that should be, I think I’ll bring out the Christmas spirits to deal with the chill!

If you are in Edinburgh, I would love the chance to meet and feed you at the show. My stage times are as follows:

Friday 25th November
5:30pm Traditional Christmas Cake
7:30pm Alternative Christmas Cake

Saturday 26th November
12:30pm Traditional Christmas Cake
2:30pm Alternative Christmas Cake

Sunday 27th November
12:30pm Traditional Christmas Cake
2:30pm Alternative Christmas Cake

What you can expect is a Traditional Christmas Cake in fruitcake, marzipan, and fondant icing, followed by the Alternative Christmas Cake for those who prefer a little less heavy lifting in the kitchen over the season! My alternative is a Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting. Just as spicy and festive, but a cake that you can whip up at the last minute for Christmas Cake haters!

Tickets are still available so just click here if you fancy picking some up.

For those in England, I can tell you that you will have plenty of opportunity to catch up with me at a Foodies Festival near you in 2017! Keep checking my Events page for dates and locations as soon as they are announced.

Until then…

Stay gorgeous!
