Last week I visited Lydiard House, seat of the St Last week I visited Lydiard House, seat of the St John family. To say that I was a happy nerd there would be an understatement! Barbara St John was the paternal grandmother of Barbara Villiers. By all accounts she was a formidable woman, so I wanted to see her family’s home. The house was filled with amazing stories from generations of this remarkable family.
