PICTURES: Rockabilly Rebel Cupcakes at The Higgins

On Saturday, I hosted the first of my cake decorating classes at The Higgins, Bedford. Starting as I mean to go on, and in honour of my wonderfully rock’n’roll friends in my new hometown, my first class was the Rockabilly Rebel Cupcake class.

Students in this class learn how to top cupcakes with sugarpaste and then decorate them using silicone moulds, handmade sugar roses, and even handpaint their own tattoo inspired designs using colour dusts and vodka! To say they did an amazing job would not do them justice so here are some pictures for you.

To all of my students – I cannot express enough how proud I am of your creativity and imagination. You should be every bit as proud of your work as I am… though I should imagine that your creations have been long eaten by now! I hope that the skills you took home from class will last you a little longer.
