Happy Valentine’s Day, you gorgeous lot! Whether you are treating someone special or treating yourself to some well-deserved pampering, love is most certainly in the air.
Even if you are not a fan of V-Day, I would urge you to enter into the spirit of hearts and flowers… my goodness, isn’t it refreshing to have a social media feed filled with something red and pretty rather than something orange and unpleasant?
It seems like an opportune moment to share my latest YouTube video with you.
Sugar roses are perfectly in keeping with a Valentine’s theme, non?
In this mini-tutorial, I take under five minutes to show you how to make a super quick, handmade sugarpaste fondant rose. This is the method that I use for my own cupcakes and cakes and it has served me well for many years. If you try this out at home and the first one doesn’t turn out perfectly, squish it back into a ball of icing and try again. Or, better still, set that first one aside and compare your second and third roses to this first attempt – I guarantee that you will pick up the technique quickly.
As with all of the videos that I will be sharing on my new YouTube Channel, if you are able to like, comment, and share (you need to log in to YouTube to do this, registering for a free account if you do not have one) this means the world to me and will enable me to grow the channel, making the content bigger and better. Maybe a thumbs up on the video could be your little Valentine’s gift to me…
I wish you the most wonderful day ahead with all the love in the world.
