I Would Love to Bake a Cake for… Everyone who Visited the Cake & Bake Show London

OK, I know that this post is a little bit of a cop out but, as @waltoncakelady rightly suggested on Instagram, I am well and truly “jiggered,” after the weekend!

From Friday until Sunday, we gathered at London ExCel for cake, cake and more cake. My days at The Cake & Bake Show were jam-packed with classroom sessions, whether Burlesque Baking or making intricate wired sugar roses, book signings at The Big Green Bookshop, and fabulously fun bakes on The Cake & Bake Super Theatre.

For the first time, I was able to answer all of your cake decorating kit questions at The Cake Decorating Company stand. I’m addicted to cake kit and tools and it was a pleasure to chat to so many of you and advise you for your own bakes. Thank you to everyone who bought one of the kits that CDC put together to accompany my classroom classes! It was brilliant to be able to offer the bits that I demonstrated all in one fabulously decorated bag.

So I would like to bake a cake for each and every one of you who came along to the show. It is a genuine highlight of my year to meet so many of you and talk about cake! Thank you to each and every one of you who took the time to chat to me or booked a space in one of my classes.

I’m not getting a day off today… I’ll be judging another batch of cakes! This time, I will be judging entries into the Four Counties Wedding Awards at Knebworth House. Wedding cakes, wedding dresses, wedding flowers? It’s going to be a romantic kinda day!

Because I love you all, here are a selection of my very favourite snaps from the weekend. Thanks to my gorgeous hubby, Chris, for taking them all – they have been making me smile all morning!
