Foodies Festival Tatton Park PICTURES

What a weekend we had in Tatton Park! The crowds really came out for Foodies Festival and the sun put in an appearance too.

It may not have been as hot as Blackheath had been the weekend before but at least we could successfully whip cream without it splitting!

I cannot tell you what a pleasure it has been to traverse the country with the Cake & Desserts Theatre and I genuinely loved the northern vibe. As ever, I must thank everyone who came along to the show for your fabulous energy. We chefs love cooking for you and feeding you is always a treat! You guys seemed happy enough with the fairly constant stream of cake and baked goods we produced.

Here are my favourite pictures from that weekend. There aren’t as many as I usually have because I didn’t have my trusty paparazzo Chris with me!

With Sarah Wilson-Gibbons of Hey Little Cupcake, whose sunny personality was as sweet as her cupcakes

Sarah’s beautiful cupcake bouquet. The perfect gift and completely achievable at home for a keen baker.

On Saturday, I shared the stage with not one Masterchef winner but TWO! Jane Devonshire (2016) and Simon Wood (2015)

Lorna Robertson (Masterchef Finalist 2017) popped into share her perfect sweet brunch treat.

Lorna’s stacked American style pancakes with Rhubarb and Rhubarb Gin compote

Spent so much time running around this weekend that I hardly had time to selfie! This was my favourite Joanie Clothing frock from the weekend.

Newly published author Candice Brown popped in to make us her Pavlovas with Prosecco-soaked Strawberries.

Candice forgot to take her Prosecco with her… doesn’t last long in my care, sweetie!

I saved the bubbles to enjoy with Grace Hall after her stunning Naughty Vegan Bakes demo. By the end of day three, we are demob happy! I wore white lace on Day Three and joked about wearing it as my Bridesmaid dress…

A well-deserved drink for Graham, our techie who basically keeps the show running and keeps us chefs in order

Another perfect Victoria Sponge made by the #twitterbakealong team of Rob Allen and Jackie Heston AKA The Baking Nanna

My outfits this weekend were all from Joanie Clothing. I loved wearing them and will post proper pictures in a Fashion on Friday special very soon!

Red dress to match my KitchenAid!

We are by no means done for the Summer… you can come to see us in the following places on the following dates:

Edinburgh, Inverleith Park 4th – 6th August

London, Alexandra Palace 26th – 28th August

Oxford, South Park 1st – 3rd September

With that, it is time for this travelling showgirl chef to pack her best tartan frocks and head on up to Edinburgh. See you there this weekend!

Stay gorgeous!
