Good morning, you gorgeous lot!
I had the best time at Foodies Festival Christmas in London at the weekend. I enlisted Jamie Laing from Made in Chelsea as my glamorous assistant once again…
We baked up a Candy Kitten cascade cake together. He is so hired!
I also had the chance to chat to GBBO winner, Candice Brown as she baked. What a star she is. We caught up for a cheeky glass of bubbly before the demonstration, just to get in the festive spirit.
After a day of recovery (laptop, sofa, blankie, last week’s episode of Nashville) yesterday, I am now ready to start getting excited for another Foodies Festival Christmas this coming weekend in Edinburgh. I have been warned that it is a little chilly in the North! I wonder if What Katie Did do thermals.
Tickets to the show are available online now. It runs from Friday evening, so you can join us after work if you fancy it, until Sunday at the EICC Edinburgh. You can expect two demonstrations from me, daily, with two different approaches to Christmas Cake baking and decorating. I’ll do something classic and something contemporary. Oh, and I’ll feed you cake.
As a little prelude to my visit, I was interviewed by the lovely Anna Burnside of The Daily Record. Click here to read the article in full. I am most excited about the following quote and wish for it to be emblazoned above everything that I do from now on…
“Charlotte White owns dressed-to-kill baking.”
And I so do.
Stay gorgeous!
