Foodies Festival Birmingham PICTURES

Birmingham marked the half way point in a summer of Foodies Festival shows and, boy, did we celebrate this milestone in style!

The crowds were simply amazing, every single day. We all had the best time baking for you.

We will be back in London tomorrow and all weekend, in Blackheath Greenwich. If you are in London or even to the South, this is a great show to visit in a beautiful village-within-the-city. Tickets are available by clicking here.

Here are my favourite pictures from the weekend we spent in Birmingham:

Waiting for the day to kick off and posing in my Manhattan dress from Joanie Clothing

The first of our incredible local chefs, Rosie Ginday of Miss Macaroon

With the first Key Lime Pie of the weekend. You guys have been loving this recipe and so many people are telling me that this is their first taste of Key Lime Pie!

A stunning afternoon tea selection from The Edgbaston Hotel

Head chef from The Edgbaston Hotel, Olivier Briault, puts me to work in the kitchen working on a Champagne creme pat!

Olivier’s Champagne Mousse with Mixed Berry Sponge was a huge hit. Now to get stuck into that amazing afternoon tea…

The rather amazing Enrique Rojas of Have Some Cake came along and made this stunning drip cake look super easy to make at home!

Remember, the Cake & Desserts Theatre is the theatre that FEEDS you! Even Enrique’s masterpiece cakes were cut up and enjoyed.

At the end of day one, I managed to take a moment to enjoy one of my own California Raisin scones topped with Pinkster Gin Jam.

Kicking off day two with Rosie and Olivier. My frock is from The Seamstress of Bloomsbury.

Prep kitchen silliness with Olivier, Enrique, and the wonderful Grace Hall from All Scone.

Another day, another stunning cake created in 30 minutes by Enrique Rojas!

Enrique’s final cake of the weekend was a crowd-pleasing, glamorous unicorn cake! A cake is never finished until it is liberally spritzed with Cake Lace Edible Glitter.

We just can’t get enough of Enrique and his cakes.

On day three, we were joined by the incredible Lorna Robertson (Masterchef Finalist 2017), Enrique hit the VIP bar, and Grace brought the glamour and sass! I’m rocking my beloved two piece from Rock ‘n’ Romance.

The funniest picture of the weekend captured the moment Lorna turned out her Peach Tarte Tatin. I think my face says it all, though I am pleased to report that the tarte turned out perfectly!

Lorna is one seriously talented chef and so much fun to watch. You will not want to miss her demos at Foodies Festivals around the country this summer.

The rather fabulous Candice Brown (GBBO Winner 2016) popped along to whip up an enormous Black Forrest Gateaux Cake.

But Candice wasn’t our only winner, as we were joined by the wonderful Amari Koryang, winner of the Junior GBBO 2015. Amari is incredibly talented and it was a joy to be put to work in the kitchen by such a young boss!

My little theatre home was packed out for the final demonstration of the weekend, ‘the end of the show show’, in which anarchy rules and everything gets eaten!

We had the best time in Birmingham and I cannot wait for another Foodies weekend this weekend. Hopefully, these pictures have given you a little taste of what you can expect.

We have 5 more shows to come this summer, click here to see the full list and join us at a show near you.

Stay gorgeous!
