It’s the weekend (again) klaxon! How’s your short week been? I’ve been hard at work on two rather lovely Wedding Cakes, finalising plans for Foodies Festival Brighton next weekend *mild panic*, and preparing to tell some rather lovely press folk all about This Morning Live – follow my Instagram story today for this today!
But I did want to share this sunny little Fashion on Friday post with you.
The weekend before last, I was enjoying Harrogate in the glorious sunshine. It felt unseasonal, tropical, and I could think of nothing better to wear than this matching Maria blouse and Swing skirt in Hawaiian Print from Rock’n’Romance.
I love the carnage of a hotel bed that I don’t have to make.
There is a wonderful versatility in matching separates; with the blouse tucked into the skirt, you have the appearance of a dress, but both items can be worn independently. I’ve worn the blouse tied into a knot with my favourite red cropped Capri pants from The House of Foxy and I’ve worn the skirt with a warmer little bottle green jumper from Collectif.
I’ve even baked in this outfit! This was me trying not to get covered in Chocolate Mud Cake mix at Goodwood Revival in September.
So it was perfect to explore Harrogate in the brilliant sunshine.
Very much like their parent company, The Seamstress of Bloomsbury, Rock’n’Romance have taken great care in choosing the fabric for this outfit. In softest Rayon it wafts and floats and cools on a hot day.
I dare say you’ll see me with the blouse untucked and knotted into a cheeky ‘tiniest amount showing as possible’ midriff exposing number at some point over the summer season. It’s nice to have this amount of versatility and something I could quite get used to.
Stay gorgeous!
